SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment) on PSLV-CA. Mon 30 Dec 2024, 16:30:15 UTC. Reported outcome: Success. Launch site: Satish Dhawan Space Centre First Launch Pad. Source: Launch Library 2.
SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment) is an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) technology mission to demonstrate autonomous docking between 2 spacecraft in orbit. The mission will involve two spacecraft (Chaser and Target) rendezvous and docking together, plus testing attitude control of the combined spacecraft under docked conditions. The Chaser and Target spacecraft will then be separated for operating other payload. The mission is critical to develop rendezvous and docking abilities for ISRO’s future human spaceflight and lunar sample return missions.

Generated from source records
SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment): PSLV-CA, operated by Indian Space Research Organization. Pad: Satish Dhawan Space Centre First Launch Pad, Satish Dhawan Space Centre, India. Mission type: Technology; target orbit: Low Earth Orbit. Recorded timing: Mon 30 Dec 2024, 16:30:15 UTC. The source reports a successful launch. Provider: 9 orbital attempts in our records since 30 Dec 2024, including 3 in 2026 (UTC). Vehicle: 1/1 resolved orbital outcomes succeeded (100%) in our records since 30 Dec 2024. Pad: 4 orbital attempts in our records since 30 Dec 2024.
Partial historical coverage. Records snapshot: .
What these records cover
Partial coverage of stored records, not lifetime or worldwide totals. Counts use known orbital attempts with a source date at or before this snapshot and a status confirming liftoff or an outcome. Scheduled, upstream-missing, suborbital and unknown-orbit records are excluded. Source dates are NET estimates, not verified actual liftoff times.
The vehicle percentage is Success / (Success + Failure + Partial Failure). In Flight and Payload Deployed count as attempts but are excluded from that denominator. Figures describe the stored record at this snapshot, not the vehicle's flight number or a prediction of this launch's outcome.
Launch Library 2 record checked . Recorded timing does not establish actual liftoff; plans can change.
