Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no cookies for visitors and no advertising trackers. This is exactly what happens when you visit.

In short

  • No accounts

There is nothing to sign up for, so we never ask who you are.

  • No cookies for visitors

Page views are counted without cookies, and no cookie is set when you visit.

  • No advertising trackers

No advertising, and nothing that follows you around other websites.

  • No location

The site never asks where you are.

Counting visits

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies. Before a page view is sent, our code cuts its address down to the page itself, dropping anything after a question mark or hash.

For each view, Vercel records the page, the page you came from, a rough location (country, region and city), your browser, your operating system and the kind of device. To tell visits apart within one day it uses a code made from your request, which it throws away after 24 hours. Vercel says this data is not tied to any person or IP address.

The private status page and the developer pages are never counted.

Hosting and logs

The site is served by Vercel, with our server code running in Frankfurt. Its database is hosted by Supabase, also in Frankfurt, and holds space data from our sources, nothing about visitors.

Like any web host, Vercel receives your IP address and browser details with each request and keeps request logs under its own privacy notice. Our own application logs are written to leave out IP addresses, cookies and tokens.

On your device

The site sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookie in its code belongs to a private status page for the site's operator: srn_status, set only after signing in to that page, limited to /status and kept for 8 hours. Visitors never receive it.

If you choose to see launch times in UTC, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage under the key srn:time:utc, holding the value 1 and nothing else. Switching back removes it. Nothing else is stored on your device.

What loads from elsewhere

The pages, fonts, scripts, films and file photographs come from spacerightnow.com itself. Some launch photographs load directly from the image storage of The Space Devs, who run Launch Library 2, so their storage provider receives your IP address and browser details when you view one. Our pages ask your browser not to tell it which page you were on.

Links to other websites take you to their own privacy terms.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent or share information about visitors.
  • Use advertising networks or cross-site tracking.
  • Send notifications: the site has none.

Your rights and questions

Under data protection law, including the GDPR, you can ask what personal data is held about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. The only data about visits is the hosting logs and page view counts described above, which Vercel holds for this site. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

The name of the person responsible for this site will be published here shortly.

A contact address for corrections and privacy questions will be published here shortly.
