How we source

Every launch time, status and figure here comes from a named source. This is each one: what we use it for, its licence, the credit it asks for and whether it is live today.

The rules we follow

Launch times have their own guide: how to read launch times.

  • One main source for each kind of data

Launch times come from Launch Library 2, run by The Space Devs, which gathers them from space agencies, launch companies, trusted journalists and its own community.

  • Fetched by us, not by your browser

Our servers collect the data on a schedule and keep a copy, so your browser never asks these services for data.

  • Always dated

Every live part of the site says when its data was last updated, and turns amber when it may be out of date.

  • Credit and licence on every image

If we cannot confirm an image's licence, we do not show it. Agency and company logos are never shown as images.

  • Headlines, never summaries

News is a headline, the site, the time and a link. We never summarise or copy a news article.
